Muntham Station - Thomas Clark

Wando Dale - William Tibbits

Our
labels reflect the areas connection with early pastoral
development in western Victoria.
Our red wine labels depict the Muntham Station, home
to pioneer Edward Henty, as painted by noted colonial
artist Thomas Clark. Born in England, Clark migrated
to Australia and travelled the countryside completing
commissions by local graziers and others. His paintings
are regarded as accurate depictions of early colonial
landscapes.
Our
white wine labels feature another early pastoral scene
at Wando Dale to the west of Hamilton. Noted early colonial
artist, William Tibbits, painted this scene. It depicts
the Redgum landscape so typically identified with the
Western District.
We
are grateful to the Hamilton Art Gallery for permission
to reproduce these original works.
